Senior Reliability Engineer – Rotating Equipment

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Reliability Engineer specialized in rotating equipment to lead maintenance excellence in a refinery/petrochemical environment. The role focuses on ensuring equipment reliability, safety and optimal performance through proactive maintenance strategies.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and ensure compliance with maintenance procedures, preventive and predictive schedules.
• Perform condition monitoring of rotating equipment and provide analysis and advice.
• Assist plant maintenance teams in troubleshooting critical problems.
• Supervise quality checks during overhauls of critical rotating equipment.
• Support repair, refurbishment and replacement of rotating components.
• Conduct failure analysis and root‑cause analysis (RCA) of repetitive failures.
• Review and optimise maintenance tasks and frequencies, applying RCA learnings to improve reliability of other assets.
• Guarantee safe and trouble‑free start‑up of critical rotating machines.
• Provide technical support for critical and insurance spares reviews.
• Deliver training for in‑house programmes related to rotary equipment.
• Contribute to planning and scheduling of rotating equipment overhauls.
• Assist in erection and commissioning of new rotating equipment.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering with strong academic record.
• 6‑10 years of experience in refinery, petrochemical or chemical plant design, maintenance or operations.
• At least 3‑5 years of hands‑on experience with rotating equipment maintenance, troubleshooting and condition monitoring.
• Experience in equipment selection, erection and commissioning is preferred.
