Senior Project Manager – Banking Technology Transformations

About the role

This is not a conventional project‑management role. Zafin is seeking a transformation leader to own complex, customer‑facing banking technology programs and bring together business, product, engineering, architecture and executive stakeholders to deliver measurable outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Own complex banking technology programs from mobilization through implementation and go‑live.
• Act as a trusted delivery partner to senior client stakeholders and translate strategic objectives into executable roadmaps.
• Lead globally distributed product, engineering, architecture, QA and consulting teams.
• Manage program economics, governance, scope, risks, dependencies and executive reporting.
• Anticipate delivery problems before they become escalations and challenge assumptions constructively.
• Foster a culture of accountability, pace and high performance while capturing lessons for repeatable transformation practices.

Required profile

• 12–16 years of experience leading large, complex enterprise or banking transformation programs.
• Background in Big 4 or leading consulting firms, major technology/change programs with banking tech companies, or high‑growth enterprise SaaS organizations.
• Strong banking/BFSI domain knowledge and executive‑level communication skills.
• Commercial and financial discipline with excellent problem‑structuring and decision‑making abilities.
• Proven ability to influence without formal hierarchy.
