Senior Multistate Tax Compliance Specialist – Multiple Indian Cities

About the role

Deloitte Tax Services is looking for a Senior professional to lead multistate tax compliance across several Indian locations. You will work with engagement teams and a nationally managed service center to deliver accurate, timely tax filings for a diverse client base.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review partnership and corporate state tax returns for multiple jurisdictions.
• Conduct detailed technical reviews focusing on apportionment, nexus, unitary filings, and flow‑through taxation.
• Research state tax legislation and assess its impact on client compliance.
• Coordinate with Deloitte’s in‑house tax preparation team and client tax departments.
• Review estimated payments, extensions, and related filings.
• Support tax consulting projects, including planning, restructuring, due‑diligence, audit defense, and accounting for income taxes.

Required profile

• Master’s degree from a reputable university.
• 4–8 years of experience in state and local partnership and corporate taxes.
• Excellent presentation and communication abilities.
• Supervisory experience.
• Enrolled Agent certification for Manager level.
• Valid preparer tax identification number (PTIN) at time of joining.
