Senior MLOps Engineer

About the role

Crunchyroll’s AI/ML team is expanding to support millions of anime fans worldwide. The team relies on robust MLOps practices to deliver reliable, scalable machine‑learning models in production. As a Senior MLOps Engineer you will design, build and maintain the end‑to‑end infrastructure that powers model training, deployment and monitoring.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain end‑to‑end ML infrastructure and pipelines for training, deployment and monitoring.
• Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines for fast, reliable delivery of ML models.
• Implement model registry, experiment tracking and versioning using tools such as MLflow or SageMaker Model Registry.
• Establish monitoring, observability and alerting frameworks to detect drift, degradation and anomalies.
• Collaborate with data scientists to productionize models and ensure seamless transition from research to production.
• Optimize workflows for performance, scalability and cost across training and inference using AWS SageMaker, Databricks, Kubernetes (EKS) and Docker.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience in MLOps, ML infrastructure or DevOps for AI/ML systems.
• Proven ability to work with cross‑functional data science and engineering teams.
• Strong problem‑solving and communication skills.

Required skills

• Python programming and scripting.
• Containerization with Docker and orchestration with Kubernetes/EKS.
• AWS services (SageMaker, Lambda, S3, Kinesis, Step Functions).
• MLflow, SageMaker Model Registry, Databricks for experiment tracking and model lifecycle.
• Workflow orchestration tools such as Airflow or Step Functions.
• CI/CD automation (GitHub Actions, Terraform, CloudFormation).
• Machine‑learning frameworks: PyTorch, TensorFlow, Scikit‑learn.
