Senior Mechanical Engineer – Projects

About the role

Tata Electronics Private Limited is building India’s first AI‑enabled semiconductor foundry. The company seeks a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead and supervise mechanical works across HVAC, piping, firefighting and utility systems for this high‑tech facility.

Key responsibilities

• Execute and supervise mechanical installations, including HVAC, piping, firefighting and utility systems.
• Ensure work follows approved GA drawings, P&IDs, layouts and project specifications.
• Coordinate closely with civil, electrical and other MEP disciplines to achieve clash‑free execution.
• Identify and resolve interface issues with civil and other trades.
• Manage firefighting packages such as hydrants and sprinklers.
• Lead first‑fix and second‑fix activities and services‑rack installations.
• Review drawings for discrepancies, conduct site coordination meetings and manage vendors/contractors.
• Monitor progress, prepare DPR/WPR reports and oversee commissioning of mechanical systems.
• Ensure compliance with QA/QC, ISO standards and safety practices (LOTO, PTW).

Required profile

• BE/B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering.
• 5‑10 years of experience in mechanical construction and execution.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, piping and firefighting systems.
• Ability to read GA drawings, P&IDs and layouts.
• Experience in MEP and civil coordination and interface management.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.
• Hands‑on experience with various pipe materials (MS, SS, PPH, PVDF, HDPE, uPVC).
• Knowledge of utilities such as AHU, MAU, RCU, chilled water, centrifugal chillers, compressed air, PCW, heat exchangers, cooling towers, UPW and WWTP.
