Senior Marketing Operations Manager

About the role

Ethos Life is seeking a Senior Marketing Operations Manager to lead the delivery and analysis of CRM lifecycle campaigns, focusing on email and SMS execution. The role blends hands‑on campaign building with strategic planning to improve efficiency and effectiveness across the customer journey. You will partner with cross‑functional teams to design, launch, and optimise communication flows that drive new member acquisition.

Key responsibilities

• Attend project kick‑offs, capture requirements and architect solutions before building campaigns.
• Build, schedule, launch and monitor complex automated and ad‑hoc email, SMS and direct‑mail campaigns.
• Set up and monitor multi‑step journeys with static/dynamic content and actionable trigger points.
• Script dynamic communications using liquid templates to personalise the user experience.
• Write SQL queries to manage data tables and create custom audience segments.
• Maintain and evolve audience segmentation tactics and guide data‑pipeline needs.
• Establish high‑quality processes and infrastructure for email and SMS tooling.
• Document internal best practices, tooling configurations and process improvements.

Required profile

• Minimum 4 years of experience building cross‑channel campaigns using ESP or marketing‑automation platforms.
• Strong analytical mindset with competence in SQL and data‑analysis tools such as Mode, Chartio, Redshift or Heap.
• Extremely high attention to detail while managing a large volume of simultaneous campaigns.
• Process‑oriented approach with structured workflows for testing, QA and stakeholder approvals.
• Excellent collaboration skills and ability to act as the decision‑maker when needed.

Required skills

• Experience with Iterable, Marketo or similar email management software.
• Proficiency in liquid template language for email/SMS deployment.
• SQL scripting and data‑management capabilities.
• Familiarity with data‑analysis platforms (Mode, Chartio, Redshift, Heap).
• Working knowledge of HTML/CSS.
• Understanding of email best practices, deliverability, CAN‑SPAM regulations and ESP ecosystems.
