Senior Local Fund Operations (AMIF)

About the role

Amicorp Fund Services is looking for a Senior Local Fund Operations professional in Bangalore. The role ensures that the contractual, regulatory and statutory responsibilities of the company are met while driving commercial growth through increased sales. It covers the management of a Fund team in the setup and administration of several investment funds and their underlying investors.

Key responsibilities

• Act as technical reference point for the Fund business, attend client meetings and support the sales team
• Draft and coordinate legal and regulatory documents for new funds and products, and advise on fund structures and transactions
• Review and approve commercial, legal, fiscal and regulatory agreements and documents
• Serve as primary contact for fund administration clients, build long-term relationships and guide them on services and best practices
• Explain fund financial statements, fee calculations and NAV per share to Investment Managers and investors
• Take part in fund launches, new laws and tax regulations, and assist with fund set-ups and liquidations
• Write or review operating memoranda, agreements, resolutions, policies and procedures
• Close sales according to personal targets and KPIs, develop a country sales plan, and prospect new clients and intermediaries
• Oversee onboarding and transition of new clients
• Work with fund accounting teams in India and Mauritius to deliver services accurately and on time, and review NAV packages for errors
• Ensure compliance with fund administration regulations, support regulatory audits, and keep shareholder services, KYC/AML and client files up to date
• Record chargeable time and value of service in Maconomy, handle pricing, invoicing and collection of outstanding fees, and monitor weekly productivity
• Manage the funds team, coordinate training, standardise procedures and propose process improvements

Required profile

• Minimum bachelor's degree and over 15 years of experience in the investment fund industry
• Relevant network with family offices, investment advisers, foreign investors and venture capital firms
• Hands-on accounting experience with a private equity, real estate or fund administration organisation
• Experience coordinating a team, monitoring progress and reporting is desirable
• Proven commercial drive and ability to close sales

Required skills

• Fair knowledge of fund industry regulations and NAV calculations
• Expertise in UCITS and alternative investment funds, especially private equity and real estate funds
• Accounting knowledge (IFRS, US GAAP)
• Knowledge of PFX Paxus is an advantage
