Senior IT App Automation Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior IT Applications Engineer to manage and optimize our core IT applications, ensuring seamless integration, automation, and workflow improvements across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Administer and optimize core IT applications including Okta, Slack, Google Workspace, Atlassian Suite, and Zoom.
• Implement and maintain integrations, automations, and workflows with deep experience in Okta SSO and SCIM.
• Support and improve automated onboarding and offboarding processes.
• Manage identity and access across IT applications, including role‑based access control (RBAC).
• Provide MDM integration knowledge to troubleshoot Okta integration confidently.
• Conduct periodic user and admin access reviews and participate in HIPAA and PCI audits.
• Partner with the Infosec team to secure applications, remediate vulnerabilities, and respond to incidents.
• Apply industry‑standard best practices for IT application management and security.
• Provide Tier 2/3 support to the IT Helpdesk and resolve complex issues independently.
• Train service‑desk members and participate in regular training sessions.
• Collaborate with engineering, product, and business teams to deliver technical solutions.
• Contribute technical expertise to IT projects and initiatives.
• Create and maintain accurate documentation for IT processes and procedures.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.

Required profile

• 8+ years of hands‑on experience administering IT applications.
• Strong expertise in Okta, Intune, JAMF, Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, Jira, Confluence, Zoom, and Azure AD.
• Proven experience in Identity and Access Management and Role‑Based Access Control (SSO, SCIM, SAML, OIDC).
• Experience consuming REST APIs and LDAP.
• Knowledge of security and compliance frameworks (HIPAA, PCI) is a plus.
• Experience automating processes and integrating IT applications; scripting experience a plus.
• Ability to provide Tier 2/3 support and respond to incidents effectively.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross‑functional teams.
