Senior AI Engineer

About the role

FourKites is looking for a Senior AI Engineer to join a 10‑person team building AI agents that automate support tickets, voice interactions, and carrier onboarding. The role combines backend development (75‑80%) with some frontend integration (20‑25%) and works closely with US customers to shape the future of supply‑chain logistics.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and productionize AI agents and workflows using LangGraph and related frameworks.
• Develop, test, and maintain backend services in Python and Java or GoLang.
• Write clean, well‑documented code across the full software development lifecycle.
• Create data models and database schemas, and integrate them with frontend components.
• Perform code reviews, troubleshoot production issues, and collaborate with DevOps for Kubernetes deployments.

Required profile

• 3+ years of backend/software development experience with exposure to AI/agentic systems.
• 2+ years hands‑on experience with LangGraph or a similar agentic framework.
• Proficiency in Python and either Java or GoLang.
• Strong understanding of object‑oriented programming and microservices architecture.
• Ability to work independently and within a collaborative, Agile team.
