Senior Global Auditor, Finance Audit

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Global Auditor to join our Finance Audit team. You will leverage 3‑6 years of public accounting experience to evaluate financial statements, internal controls, and compliance across multiple regions.

Key responsibilities

• Assess the accuracy of financial statements, adequacy of internal controls, and compliance with corporate policies and local regulations.
• Identify business‑process improvement opportunities.
• Lead audits from planning through fieldwork, reporting, and wrap‑up, ensuring functional and administrative completeness.
• Document all audit work clearly, purposefully, and promptly.
• Coordinate with external audit firms, translation resources, and on‑site coaching.
• Partner with auditors and management across Corporate Audit offices to align finance, IT, and compliance objectives.
• Foster a collaborative team environment and support the development of new auditors.
• Achieve individual and departmental goals and explore future career opportunities within Abbott finance.

Required profile

• 3‑6 busy seasons in external audit at a public accounting firm (Big 4 preferred).
• Experience in the healthcare industry is a plus.
• Bachelor’s degree required; CPA, CIA, or equivalent designation highly preferred; advanced degree preferred.
• Willingness to travel 40‑60% based on preference and organizational needs.
