Senior Financial Data Analyst

About the role

Moody's is seeking a Senior Financial Data Analyst to join its Ratings, Research & Solutions (RRS) team in Bengaluru. The role focuses on credit and financial data analysis, supporting rating methodologies and driving process improvements. Key responsibilities

• Independently manage routine deliverables such as portfolio reviews, credit opinions, and outreach materials.
• Apply Moody’s rating methodologies to create adjusted data, key indicators, ratios, charts, and graphs.
• Perform data intake, scrubbing, and validation to ensure accuracy for research and rating processes.
• Analyze financial reports and official statements to assess issuer performance and creditworthiness.
• Partner with analysts and accounting specialists to apply accounting concepts and capture accurate data.
• Provide direction and resolve queries for junior team members to ensure quality and efficiency.

Required profile

• 0‑2 years of experience in credit/financial data analysis with knowledge of capital markets; structured finance experience is a plus.
• Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or relevant certification (CACFA/FRM preferred).
• Excellent English communication, detail‑oriented and able to work well in team‑driven environments.
