Senior Executive – Rail Operations (Rail & Inland Terminals)

About the role

The Senior Executive – Rail Operations will lead the efficient turnaround of rakes and containers at our rail and inland terminals in Okhla, Delhi. The role focuses on meeting service level agreements, ensuring proper documentation, and maintaining strong customer relationships while driving operational KPIs.

Key responsibilities

• Liaise with Indian Railways to maintain turnaround times (TATs) and SLAs for JNPT‑DPMT and JNPT‑KPFP circuits.
• Monitor rake running, manage lease rake induction, and oversee attachment/detachment of units.
• Handle third‑party container and train bookings and share daily rake running reports.
• Maintain MIS reports for wagon integrity, empty flats, and PGR budgeting.
• Escalate critical wagon integrity issues to management promptly.
• Coordinate schedules for TXR, E2E, POH, and ROH with railways.
• Record and analyze rake delays, detentions, and utilization for senior management.
• Act as SPOC between port, terminal, and tech teams to automate dashboards and reporting.

Required profile

• Graduate degree with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet strict SLAs.
