Senior Executive – Payments – Merchant Acquiring

About the role

Bajaj Finance Ltd. is expanding its QR Acquiring business and seeks a Senior Executive to lead the Payments – Merchant Acquiring function in Surat. You will build the business from the ground up, assemble and manage a high‑performing team, and drive QR, SB and POS/EDC deployments to generate transaction volume and gross merchandise value.

Key responsibilities

• Recruit, train and motivate Field Operations Staff (FOS) and ensure their productivity.
• Acquire new merchants and lead QR, SB and POS/EDC deployments.
• Develop distribution channels, map coverage, and manage channel relationships.
• Drive sales targets, retailer payment reconciliation, and store activation initiatives.
• Collaborate with partners on sales promotions and maintain process rigor and controllership.

Required profile

• Graduation or MBA with 2‑4 years of relevant experience.
• Prior exposure to Payments, FMCG or Telecom prepaid sales is mandatory.
• Experience handling merchant relationships and distribution roles in consumer durables or digital services is preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal skills, high energy, and a self‑starter attitude.
• Passion for field work and engaging directly with retailers.
