Senior Email Security Consultant (Proofpoint/M365)

About the role

As a Senior Email Security Consultant within EY's Cyber Security Technology Consulting team, you will be responsible for the daily monitoring, administration, and continuous improvement of enterprise email and endpoint security solutions. You will work closely with IT Operations, Network Operations, Infrastructure, Legal, and Risk Management teams to protect the organization’s email flow and endpoint environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain email security solutions (Proofpoint, Microsoft 365) to protect inbound and outbound email traffic.
• Monitor, triage, and respond to security alerts generated by email security and EDR/XDR tools.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to integrate security solutions and ensure seamless operations.
• Perform regular security audits, assessments, and incident investigations to identify and mitigate risks.
• Develop and maintain security documentation, policies, procedures, and ad‑hoc dashboards on security posture.
• Provide technical guidance and support to other IT teams, and mentor junior consultants.

Required profile

• 4‑7 years of professional experience in information security with a focus on email security and endpoint detection & response.
• Hands‑on experience with Proofpoint, Microsoft 365 email protection, and EDR solutions such as CrowdStrike, Microsoft Defender, or Carbon Black.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, able to prioritize tasks under pressure.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, with the ability to produce clear technical documentation.
• Understanding of ITIL processes and ability to handle L2/L3 security escalations.
