Senior Electrical Engineer

About the role

Worley is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join its multidisciplinary team delivering complex energy, chemicals and resources projects. You will work on the full project lifecycle, from concept through design, procurement, construction, commissioning and eventual de‑commissioning, ensuring technical excellence and sustainability.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare Single Line Diagrams (SLD), protection & metering diagrams and load schedules for HV/MV/LV systems.
• Conduct power system studies using ETAP, including short‑circuit, load‑flow and dynamic motor‑starting analyses.
• Design earthing, lightning protection (IEEE‑80) and lighting systems (DIALux, AGI‑32 preferred).
• Size equipment such as transformers, switchgear, emergency diesel generators, UPS and battery chargers (IEEE‑485, IEEE‑1115).
• Develop cable schedules, perform hazardous‑area classification and select appropriate equipment.
• Prepare design basis, technical specifications, data sheets and material requisitions.
• Review vendor offers, evaluate technical bids and approve vendor drawings.
• Lead a team of engineers and designers, ensuring quality, schedule adherence and integrated design across disciplines.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in electrical engineering for the MMM/MH sector, covering basic and detailed engineering phases.
• Proven ability to originate and review electrical deliverables such as specifications, calculations and drawings.
• Strong background in substation layout concept development and material take‑offs.
• Demonstrated leadership in managing large‑size projects and multidisciplinary collaboration.
