Senior Director, Product Management

About the role

Teradata is seeking a senior product leader to define and drive the strategy, roadmap, and execution of critical AI & Data Platform capabilities for the India region. The role operates with high autonomy, acting as the senior product voice in‑region while partnering closely with global engineering and product leaders.

Key responsibilities

• Own and execute the product vision and roadmap across Fabric, AI & Data Governance, and Capacity & Cost Intelligence.
• Conduct deep customer and market discovery to identify high‑value problems and translate them into scalable platform capabilities.
• Define clear product requirements (PRDs, user stories, success metrics) that enable engineering teams to deliver with speed and precision.
• Lead cross‑functional alignment across Engineering, Architecture, Go‑to‑Market, and Customer Success.
• Represent India as the primary product leader within a globally distributed organization.
• Mentor and coach product managers across the India team to elevate product management excellence.
• Ensure delivery of high‑impact platform capabilities aligned to customer needs and business outcomes.
• Maintain strong alignment with global stakeholders and drive effective execution across time zones.

Required profile

• 12+ years of product management experience, with significant exposure to enterprise data platforms, cloud infrastructure, or AI/ML tooling.
• Proven track record of owning complex product portfolios end‑to‑end—from strategy through execution and iteration.
• Strong technical depth in modern data architectures (data lakes, warehouses, lakehouses, streaming, hybrid/multi‑cloud).
• Demonstrated ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive alignment in global, matrixed organizations.
• Experience mentoring or coaching product managers and elevating team‑wide capabilities.
