Senior Director – India Market People Organization

About the role

The Senior Director, India Market People Organization leads the People Organization for HP's Commercial Organization in India. This senior HR leader partners with market and country Managing Directors, drives strategic people initiatives, and ensures alignment with global HR objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the People Organization (PO) for the Commercial Organization India Market, overseeing People Partner and Country PO teams.
• Act as Country PO Lead, maintaining strong relationships with Market and Country Managing Directors.
• Drive key initiatives in Organization & Culture, Talent & Leadership, and Inclusion.
• Own PO fundamentals such as organization design, workforce planning, talent development, employee relations, executive recruiting, onboarding, compliance, and crisis management.
• Coach and develop a team of People Partners supporting Country MDs.
• Partner with Centers of Excellence and People Business Partners to serve the employee population.
• Lead global Commercial Organization projects that extend beyond India, focusing on talent, future of work, organization design, and transformation.

Required profile

• Proven global organizational leadership experience with at least 15 years of progressive HR experience.
• Strong executive coaching and advisory capabilities.
• High degree of discretion and confidentiality.
• Excellent business acumen, analytical, problem‑solving and decision‑making skills.
• Robust project and process management abilities, able to handle competing priorities under pressure.
• Outstanding communication, interpersonal, relationship‑building and influencing skills.
• Based in India and able to comply with HP Hybrid Work guidelines.
