Senior Director, Estate Management

About the role

The Senior Director, Estate Management will lead the Estate Management Division of the National Land Agency, overseeing the stewardship of roughly 40,000 parcels of government land across Jamaica. The role is responsible for strategic acquisition, holding, and divestment of Crown lands to support wealth creation and national development.

Key responsibilities

• Provide leadership and professional conduct, set objectives, and monitor team outputs.
• Prepare and implement the Division’s corporate plan and budget.
• Allocate human and financial resources to meet operational needs.
• Develop and maintain a real‑property management system.
• Oversee divestment processes in line with the Crown Property (Vesting) Act.
• Prepare submissions for ministerial approval and ensure transparency of asset management.
• Develop and disseminate government real‑property guidelines, procedures, and standards.
• Monitor division performance, recommend corrective actions, and advise senior agency leadership.

Required profile

• First degree in Estate Management or Diploma in Surveying (General Practice Division).
• Full exemptions from RICS written examinations or Chartered Valuation Surveyor designation (MRICS/FRICS) are assets.
• At least 10 years of relevant experience, including 5 years in a managerial role.
• Public sector senior management training is desirable.
