Senior Data Engineer

About the role

Bosch Group is looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join its Bengaluru team. You will design, build, and optimise data pipelines that power analytics and AI solutions across the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and optimise scalable ETL/ELT pipelines using Python, PySpark, Azure Databricks and Azure Data Factory.
• Ingest data from transactional databases, APIs and streaming sources, transforming it into clean, consumable formats.
• Implement unit and integration testing, and set up monitoring, alerting and dashboards (e.g., Grafana) for data quality and pipeline health.
• Manage cloud infrastructure on OpenShift and Azure, including deployment packaging with HELM.
• Drive CI/CD best practices using GitHub Actions for automated testing, building and deployment to OpenShift.
• Write complex SQL queries, perform data modelling and optimise storage in SQL Server and other data stores.
• Leverage Azure services such as Azure Key Vault, Azure SQL Server and the broader Azure analytics ecosystem.
• Identify performance bottlenecks and apply optimisation techniques such as indexing and query tuning.
• Collaborate with data scientists, analysts and engineering teams, documenting pipelines and architecture.

Required profile

• 6‑8 years of relevant data engineering experience.
• Ability to adapt quickly to changing project requirements.
• Strong analytical mindset and attention to data quality.
