Senior Cyber Security Analyst

About the role

As a Senior Cyber Security Analyst at Hyland, you will act as a trusted advisor on cyber‑risk, emerging threats and security best practices, protecting enterprise systems, applications, cloud environments and critical data. You will lead complex investigations, drive threat detection and response initiatives, and mentor junior analysts within a collaborative security organization.

Key responsibilities

• Lead incident investigations, threat response activities and security escalations across on‑premise, cloud and hybrid environments.
• Conduct advanced threat hunting, vulnerability assessments, security reviews, acquisition and vendor risk assessments.
• Design, implement and optimise security solutions, leveraging AI‑driven technologies and automation to improve detection and response.
• Develop detection use cases, response playbooks, recovery procedures and maintain security documentation.
• Administer and monitor enterprise security tools such as SIEM, EDR/XDR, SOAR, security posture management, file integrity monitoring and threat intelligence platforms.
• Stay current on the cybersecurity landscape, recommend new technologies and help maintain security policies and standards.
• Mentor and coach junior analysts, fostering a culture of continuous learning and operational excellence.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Cyber Security, IT, Computer Science or equivalent.
• Minimum 6 + years of experience in SOC, incident response, threat detection and enterprise security administration.
• Strong understanding of networking, security fundamentals and threat detection methodologies.
• Hands‑on experience supporting Windows and Linux/Unix environments.
