Senior Customer Engineer (Forward Deployed)

About the role

FourKites is looking for a Senior Customer Engineer who will act as the primary technical liaison for major enterprise accounts, delivering end‑to‑end integration and AI‑driven workflow solutions. The role blends deep software engineering with hands‑on customer engagement to accelerate supply‑chain automation.

Key responsibilities

• Own complex integration and AI agent implementations from discovery through go‑live for 2–4 enterprise accounts.
• Design resilient integration architectures with error handling, observability, authentication and retry logic.
• Develop and deploy agentic AI workflows using LangGraph or equivalent, configuring them live with customers.
• Lead technical discovery sessions, translate ambiguous business problems into concrete specs, and use LLMs (Claude, OpenAI) throughout the workflow.
• Mentor junior Forward Deployed Engineers, conduct code reviews and build reusable integration patterns.

Required profile

• 6–9 years of software engineering experience with a focus on integration engineering or customer‑facing technical roles.
• Strong proficiency in Java and at least one of Python or Ruby, with production‑grade code and test coverage.
• Deep understanding of data structures, algorithms and enterprise integration patterns.
• Hands‑on experience designing and deploying end‑to‑end agentic AI workflows.
• Proven ability to run technical discovery sessions independently and to troubleshoot live deployments.
