Senior CICS Systems Programmer

About the role

Ensono is seeking a Senior CICS Systems Programmer to provide premium CICS system programming support and services to its mainframe clients. The role involves administering, tuning, and troubleshooting CICS Transaction Server environments across multiple time zones.

Key responsibilities

• Fulfill customer service requests related to CICS TS and OEM software for z/OS customers.
• Provide primary support for reported CICS problems on a 24x7x365 basis.
• Assist with customer migration services and ensure smooth transitions.
• Communicate issue status to customers and management throughout resolution.
• Document issue cause, actions, and resolutions in the problem tracking system.
• Support disaster recovery tasks in coordination with relevant technical teams.
• Follow ITSM change control procedures and manage resources efficiently.

Required profile

• Self‑motivated and able to work independently.
• Demonstrated ability to respond quickly to support requests from multiple clients.
• Capable of multitasking under tight deadlines and high‑pressure situations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Required skills

• Extensive experience with CICS Transaction Server installation, upgrade, and customization.
• Knowledge of OEM software products related to CICS.
• Proficiency with SMPE on z/OS mainframe environments.
• Hands‑on experience with mainframe CICS administration and performance tuning.
