About the role
The client, a leading Capital Markets organization, seeks a Senior Calypso Specialist to provide Level 2 support for production and non‑production environments. The role ensures application stability, supports releases, and drives continuous service improvement across the full lifecycle.
Key responsibilities
- Investigate, analyse and resolve incidents and problems, documenting actions in ServiceNow and following ITIL processes.
- Monitor application health, enhance alerting, support fixes, minor enhancements and release activities.
- Participate in shift‑based support, on‑call rotations, weekend maintenance and disaster‑recovery exercises.
- Collaborate with technology teams, developers and business stakeholders to drive operational excellence.
Required profile
- Experience supporting Calypso applications in a Capital Markets or Investment Banking environment, including EOD, SOD and intraday processing.
- Strong analytical skills with ability to assess technical and business impacts of production issues.
- Proven ability to work with Front, Middle and Back Office teams and manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
Required skills
- Calypso application support (Repos, Bonds, Cash, FX, Swaps).
- Linux/UNIX administration, Windows permissions, DNS and networking fundamentals.
- AWS services (VPC, Route 53, ALB/NLB, EC2, Auto Scaling, Lambda, RDS, S3, EBS, EFS, IAM).
- Oracle and PostgreSQL databases, SQL.
- Red Hat JBoss EAP, IBM MQ.
- Shell scripting, Python.
- Datadog or similar monitoring tools.
- Version control (Bitbucket, Git) and CI/CD (GitLab).
- Control‑M or comparable scheduling tools.
