About the role
BrownRice Capital is looking for a Junior Backend Engineer to build and maintain Python features for its cryptocurrency market‑making platform. The role is fully remote and encourages the use of AI tools to enhance the development workflow.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and maintain backend features using Python.
- Identify, debug, and resolve code issues.
- Leverage AI tools to support development while reviewing and testing their output.
- Write clear, maintainable code and verify its correctness.
Required profile
- At least 1 year of experience as a backend engineer with Python as the primary language.
- Strong debugging and problem‑solving abilities.
- Familiarity with AI tools and their practical application in software development.
- Knowledge of Node.js is a plus.
- Trading domain knowledge is beneficial but not mandatory.
