Senior Automation Test Analyst

About the role

Barclays is hiring a Senior Automation Test Analyst in Pune, India, within its Group Economic Crime business area. The role leads the evolution of infrastructure and the deployment of pipelines, building and managing robust, scalable and secure infrastructure to deliver digital solutions. The position is permanent.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and improve software using engineering methodologies that provide business, platform and technology capabilities for customers and colleagues.
• Develop and deliver high-quality software using industry-aligned languages, frameworks and tools, keeping code scalable, maintainable and performance-optimized.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers and engineers on requirements, solution strategies and integration.
• Take part in code reviews, share knowledge and stay up to date with technology trends.
• Follow secure coding practices and implement effective unit testing.
• Lead and supervise a team, guide professional development, allocate work and coordinate resources, or act as a technical advisor depending on the position.

Required profile

• Experience with Playwright with Cucumber, Java/JavaScript, RestAssured/REST API automation, GitLab/CICD and Camunda.
• Other highly valued skills: MSSQL, AI-assisted testing with Claude/Copilot, TestNG and Docker.
• In-depth technical knowledge of the assigned area, with leadership or advisory responsibilities.
• Legal right to work in the UK; the role may be subject to enhanced governance and regulatory compliance obligations.
