Senior Associate – Microsoft Purview Consultant

About the role

PwC is seeking a Senior Associate to lead end‑to‑end Microsoft Purview implementations for its advisory clients in Mumbai. The role involves designing enterprise‑wide compliance architectures and acting as a trusted advisor on data protection, insider risk and regulatory compliance programs.

Key responsibilities

• Architect and lead Microsoft Purview deployments across Information Protection, Auto‑Classification, Enterprise & Endpoint DLP, Insider Risk Management, Adaptive Protection, eDiscovery, Audit and Records & Data Lifecycle Management.
• Design label taxonomies, retention models and policy hierarchies to meet client governance and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, including cyber, forensics and compliance, to deliver integrated risk solutions.
• Provide advisory guidance to clients on data protection strategies, insider risk mitigation and compliance reporting.
• Stay current with emerging data governance technologies and best practices.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in data governance, information protection or related advisory services.
• Proven track record of leading large‑scale Microsoft Purview or similar data compliance projects.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with a client‑focused mindset.
• Excellent communication skills to convey technical concepts to business stakeholders.
