Senior Associate – Internal Audit & Data Analytics

About the role

PwC is seeking a Senior Associate to join its Internal Audit Services team in Mumbai. The role combines internal audit expertise with data‑analytics capabilities to help clients assess controls, manage risk and drive value across diverse industries.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute risk‑based internal audits, evaluating the design and operating effectiveness of controls.
• Perform SOX and IFC reviews, document standard operating procedures and assess compliance.
• Support IA function set‑up, transformation, co‑sourcing and managed‑service models, leveraging AI and risk‑technology tools.
• Analyse processes, sub‑processes and activities to identify improvement opportunities.
• Prepare audit reports, present findings to stakeholders and recommend remediation actions.

Required profile

• Proven experience in internal audit or process‑audit methodologies.
• Strong understanding of internal‑control concepts, including preventive, detective and anti‑fraud controls.
• Familiarity with Sarbanes‑Oxley (SOX) and IFC review requirements.
• Ability to interpret complex processes and assess risk.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
