Senior Analyst, Cyber Security Operations

About the role

As a Senior Analyst in Cyber Security Operations at LPL’s Global Capability Center, you will protect the company’s digital assets and infrastructure. You will lead advanced threat detection, incident response, and continuous improvement of security operations in a fast‑paced financial services environment.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze security events from SIEM, EDR, IDS/IPS, firewalls and other tools to identify and investigate incidents.
• Lead incident response activities, including containment, eradication, recovery and post‑incident analysis.
• Conduct proactive threat‑hunting to uncover advanced persistent threats and sophisticated attack techniques.
• Develop and maintain security monitoring use cases, playbooks and standard operating procedures.
• Participate in vulnerability management: scanning, analysis, prioritization and remediation tracking.
• Evaluate and recommend new security technologies to enhance the overall security posture.
• Mentor junior analysts and generate comprehensive incident and metrics reports for management.
• Participate in on‑call rotations to provide 24/7 incident response coverage.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Cybersecurity or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience in a dedicated cybersecurity operations role with a focus on incident response, security monitoring or threat analysis.
• Knowledge of security frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001) and regulatory requirements (FINRA, SEC, PCI DSS).
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills.
