Senior Accountant – US GAAP & Technical Accounting (Remote, India)

About the role

EnterpriseDB (EDB) is seeking a Senior Accountant to lead US GAAP and technical accounting activities for its global operations. This remote position based in India will support financial reporting, audit, and internal control processes across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Manage US GAAP technical accounting areas including ASC 842 lease accounting, intangible asset amortization, stock‑based compensation, debt accounting, and MTM valuation of derivatives and cash‑flow hedges.
• Prepare and support US GAAP financial statements, drafts, roll‑forwards and supporting schedules.
• Execute general‑ledger accounting tasks such as journal entries, accruals, allocations, AR bad‑debt provisioning and month‑end entries.
• Produce monthly cash‑flow statements and assist with consolidated cash‑flow and debt reporting.
• Complete balance‑sheet reconciliations, FloQast checklist items, and monthly bank reconciliations.
• Own US payroll accounting and reconciliations, ensuring segregation from payroll execution.
• Lead US audit support by preparing PBC schedules, responding to auditor queries and maintaining audit‑ready documentation.
• Maintain internal controls, execute SOX controls, support walkthroughs and control testing, and remediate any gaps.
• Mentor GL team members on complex accounting matters and collaborate with APAC teams on cross‑entity activities.

Required profile

• Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
• 5–8 years of post‑qualification experience with significant US GAAP exposure.
• Hands‑on experience in US GL accounting, month‑end close, financial‑statement preparation and technical accounting (leases, debt, etc.).
• Experience with audit support, SOX compliance and internal control documentation.
