Senior Accountant – Global Payroll & Invoicing

About the role

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Accountant to support the Director of Finance in overseeing WRS Health’s global accounting operations. The role is responsible for ensuring the integrity of financial reporting, managing worldwide payroll, and supervising client invoicing processes.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with the Head of Finance to oversee all accounting functions and financial operations across the organization.
• Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial statements, reports, and internal controls.
• Oversee global payroll operations, guaranteeing timely and accurate payments to employees and contractors in multiple regions.
• Manage and optimize payroll platforms such as Bitwage, Wise, Deel, and Payoneer.
• Maintain compliance with international payroll regulations and tax requirements.
• Direct end‑to‑end client invoicing, including billing accuracy, collections, and revenue tracking.
• Develop scalable invoicing and revenue‑recognition processes aligned with business operations.
• Manage cash flow related to payroll, vendor payments, and receivables.
• Establish and enforce accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls in accordance with GAAP.
• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes.
• Collaborate with HR, Operations, and Sales to align payroll, invoicing, and financial reporting.
• Monitor and improve financial systems, workflows, and automation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration (MBA preferred).
• CPA certification strongly preferred.
• Minimum 7 years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership roles.
• Extensive experience managing global payroll and multi‑entity accounting environments.
• Experience in SaaS, healthcare, or technology‑driven organizations is a plus.
