Senior Accountant – FP&A Specialist

About the role

The Sustainable Technology Solutions division of KBR is seeking a Senior Accountant with strong FP&A expertise. The role will support budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting and strategic decision‑making for a critical business unit.

Key responsibilities

• Support monthly forecast, annual budget and long‑range planning processes.
• Prepare financial reports, variance analysis and management presentations.
• Analyze financial performance and provide actionable insights for business decisions.
• Partner with business stakeholders and functional teams to understand financial drivers and identify improvement opportunities.
• Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Assist month‑end close activities from an FP&A perspective.
• Develop and maintain financial models for planning and forecasting.
• Conduct ad‑hoc financial analysis and respond to management requests.
• Drive process improvements and automation initiatives to enhance reporting efficiency.
• Ensure data accuracy and maintain strong financial controls.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field (CA/CA Inter/CMA/MBA Finance is a plus).
• 5–8 years of relevant experience in FP&A, financial planning, budgeting, forecasting or management reporting.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment.

Required skills

• Advanced Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with Power BI.
• Familiarity with SAP, Oracle or Hyperion planning/reporting tools.
