Senior Accountant – Finance & Taxation

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Accountant to lead end‑to‑end accounting and taxation functions for our clients. You will work on‑site in New Delhi, collaborating closely with partners, team members, and clients to ensure accurate financial reporting and regulatory compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain general ledgers, post journal entries and perform ledger reconciliations.
• Prepare and file GST, TDS and advance tax returns, and handle tax‑related reconciliations.
• Compile financial statements in accordance with applicable accounting standards.
• Oversee accounts payable and receivable, review transaction documentation, and manage month‑end and year‑end closing cycles.
• Coordinate with auditors, support statutory and internal audit processes, and maintain audit trails.
• Analyse financial data, produce periodic management reports, and assist in budgeting and variance analysis.
• Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and strengthen internal controls.

Required profile

• Strong core accounting knowledge, including GL management and financial statement preparation.
• Hands‑on experience with direct and indirect taxes (GST, TDS) and regulatory filings.
• Familiarity with statutory and internal audit support.
• Proficiency in financial analysis, MIS reporting, budgeting support and variance analysis.
• Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills and written/ verbal communication.
• Professional qualification such as CA Inter, CA, MBA (Finance) or equivalent; experience in a CA firm is a plus.
