Security Test Specialist

About the role

We are looking for a Security Test Specialist to lead automotive cybersecurity validation for Bosch's software solutions. You will design and execute test strategies that ensure compliance with UN R155 and UN R156 standards for ECU and vehicle‑level security.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and run AUTOSAR BSW test cases covering MCAL, ECU abstraction, OS and services layers.
• Perform hands‑on testing of communication protocols such as CAN, LIN, Ethernet, FlexRay and diagnostics (UDS/DoIP).
• Automate test flows using Python, CAPL and tools like CANoe/CANalyzer.
• Conduct Threat Analysis and Risk Assessment (TARA) and create security test scenarios based on identified threats.
• Execute penetration testing on ECUs, CAN, Ethernet and OTA interfaces, and validate secure boot, flashing and OTA mechanisms.
• Validate secure communication protocols (CAN, SOME/IP, DoIP, TLS) and diagnostic security (UDS Seed/Key).
• Collaborate with BSW, ASW and system teams to trace cybersecurity requirements from concept to test execution.
• Document compliance evidence, test reports and support OEM certification audits.

Required profile

• 7‑10 years of experience in automotive software testing and cybersecurity.
• Strong knowledge of AUTOSAR BSW, MCAL and ECU abstraction layers.
• Hands‑on experience with CAN, LIN, Ethernet, FlexRay and diagnostic protocols.
• Proven ability to design test automation frameworks using Python and CAPL.
• Experience with UN R155/UN R156 compliance and TARA methodology.
