Security & Loss Prevention Expert, Worldwide Operations Security

About the role

Amazon is seeking a proactive Security & Loss Prevention (SLP) Expert to protect its worldwide operations network. In this role you will drive continuous improvement initiatives, implement enhanced security measures, and ensure operational continuity across multiple sites in the end‑to‑end supply chain.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and implement site‑level security improvements and process optimizations.
• Support business resilience through emergency and crisis planning.
• Detect vulnerabilities such as loss or associate experience issues and define mitigating actions while complying with legal, ethical, and Amazon global security standards.
• Serve as the primary contact for risk management, coordinating with local management, law‑enforcement agencies, and industry associations.
• Lead Security and Loss Prevention projects at local, regional, and country levels.
• Conduct regular physical security audits, investigate policy violations, incidents, and loss events.
• Collect and analyse data from monitoring systems, reports, and interviews to uncover trends.
• Maintain and improve physical security infrastructure, manage supplier budgets, and ensure high‑quality service delivery.
• Deliver loss‑prevention education and awareness programs across all management levels.

Required profile

• Solution‑driven professional with experience in security and loss prevention.
• Strong analytical skills to identify trends, assess data, and develop mitigation strategies.
• Experience in emergency and crisis planning for operational sites.
• Knowledge of legal, ethical, and corporate security standards.
• Ability to coordinate with internal stakeholders, external security providers, and law‑enforcement agencies.
• Excellent communication and investigative skills for conducting audits and interviews.
