Security Supervisor

About the role

The Security Supervisor is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment across the premises. This individual contributor role executes daily security protocols, monitors surveillance systems, and manages gate operations, reporting directly to the Security Manager.

Key responsibilities

• Access & Gate Control – manage entry and exit points for employees, visitors, vendors and vehicles, ensuring thorough checking and logging of all materials and assets.
• Surveillance & Monitoring – actively monitor CCTV cameras, fire alarm panels and biometric access control systems to detect unauthorized activity or safety hazards.
• Patrolling – conduct regular physical rounds of buildings, parking areas and perimeters to ensure doors are locked, hazards cleared and the area remains secure.
• Documentation & Reporting – maintain accurate physical and digital logs (visitor registers, material inward/outward, shift handover) and report any unusual incidents immediately.
• Emergency Support – assist senior management during emergencies such as fire drills, medical situations or security breaches by following established evacuation and safety protocols.

Required profile

• Education – minimum 10th or 12th pass (Higher Secondary).
• Experience – exactly 1 year working as a security guard, gate keeper or security assistant in a structured corporate or industrial environment.
• Language – ability to speak and understand Marathi and Hindi; basic reading and writing skills in English for register entry and system logging.
• Physical fitness – excellent health and stamina to stand for long periods and perform active patrolling.

Required skills

• Basic operation of computers or smartphone‑based visitor management apps (e.g., MyGate, GatePass).
• Basic CCTV monitoring and ability to operate CCTV monitors.
• Knowledge of biometric access control system operation.
