Security Engineer

About the role

You will play a key role in keeping Axi colleagues safe in the world of cyber security. The focus is on engineering and automation, implementing strategic solutions to security problems and providing a secure environment for customers and colleagues without large operational overheads.

Key responsibilities

• Act as a core member of the Security team and subject‑matter expert, partnering with strategic partners.
• Investigate security incidents, provide essential information to control points, and drive threat intelligence improvements.
• Research emerging security technologies, evaluate business requirements, and support deployment of multi‑regional security solutions.
• Review and improve security controls, recommend enhancements, and execute implementations.
• Lead design, pilot, and deployment projects for new security solutions across multi‑vendor cloud environments.

Required profile

• 8+ years of experience in cybersecurity, information security, security engineering or security operations.
• Strong hands‑on experience with Microsoft Defender XDR, Defender for Endpoint, Defender for Cloud, and Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD).
• Experience managing Azure security services such as Azure Firewall, NSG, DDoS Protection, Conditional Access, Identity Protection, and Privileged Identity Management.
• Knowledge of cloud security governance, risk management and compliance frameworks (ISO 27001, NIST, SOC 2).
• Proven ability in threat hunting, threat intelligence, incident investigation and remediation.
