Search Engine Optimization Manager

About the role

Porter is seeking a forward‑thinking SEO Manager to own and grow the company’s organic search presence across web, local listings and emerging AI‑driven answer platforms. The role will drive end‑to‑end visibility, from technical optimisation to content creation and AI integration, supporting Porter’s mission to transform intra‑city logistics.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute a comprehensive SEO strategy across Porter’s web properties, covering technical SEO, on‑page optimisation, content strategy and link acquisition.
• Conduct regular site audits to resolve issues related to crawlability, indexation, Core Web Vitals, schema markup and site architecture.
• Own keyword research, competitive gap analysis and creation of content briefs aligned to user intent across the funnel.
• Drive continuous improvement in organic rankings, traffic and conversion for target markets.
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to embed SEO best practices in all web initiatives from inception.
• Manage Porter’s Google Business Profile and lead local SEO initiatives to dominate regional search results.
• Identify and capture opportunities on AI answer engines and generative AI platforms such as ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews and Gemini.
• Contribute to the broader discoverability strategy by exploring synergies with performance marketing, affiliate and partnership channels.
