SAP Variant Configuration Modeling Engineer

About the role

Applied Materials, a global leader in materials science and engineering, is seeking an experienced professional to design and maintain complex SAP Variant Configuration (VC) models. The role focuses on configuring dependency rules, managing cross‑functional material data, and ensuring seamless integration across SAP modules.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and configure complex dependency rules for configurable materials, ensuring cross‑functional integration.
• Maintain and update variant configuration product models, including classes, characteristics, pricing, and super‑bills of material.
• Manage production releases of SAP content between environments using ALE.
• Collaborate with business subject matter experts to follow modeling standards and templates.
• Provide expertise on integration points between SAP Material Management, Sales & Distribution, and Production Planning.

Required skills

• SAP Variant Configuration (VC) modeling
• IPC in CRM
• Enterprise Content Management (ECM) and Knowledge Base updates
• ALE for content transport
• Knowledge of SAP MM, SD, and PP modules
• Macro or Business Intelligence (BI) experience (optional)
