SAP Delivery Manager – Japan Geography

About the role

We are seeking an experienced SAP Delivery Manager to lead end‑to‑end service delivery for transformational SAP projects and Application Management Services (AMS) focused on the Japan geography. This senior leadership position requires extensive experience in managing complex SAP implementations and multi‑geography account operations.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee end‑to‑end SAP service delivery across transformational programs and AMS engagements, ensuring high‑quality, predictable, customer‑centric outcomes.
• Lead SAP delivery engagements for customers in Japan, aligning with regional business expectations, governance models, and service quality standards.
• Manage cross‑functional teams across offshore, nearshore and customer‑facing units to drive operational excellence.
• Ensure SLA/KPI adherence and proactive service management throughout the delivery lifecycle.
• Lead transformational SAP programs including Greenfield implementations, Brownfield upgrades, S/4HANA migrations and hybrid landscapes.
• Establish robust governance and escalation mechanisms suited to Japan customer operating models.
• Manage multiple SAP customer accounts in the Japan region, driving account growth, delivery excellence and customer retention.
• Lead SAP practice management initiatives such as standardisation, capability building, service innovation and operational model improvements.
• Own cost optimisation initiatives while maintaining delivery quality and customer satisfaction.
• Accountable for portfolio P&L management, including revenue growth, margin performance and forecasting.

Required profile

• 15–18 years of experience managing complex SAP implementations and practice management.
• Proven experience delivering SAP engagements for Japanese customers and understanding of Japan market expectations.
• Strong stakeholder management skills with experience working with Japanese leadership teams and offshore/on‑shore delivery models.
• Business‑level proficiency in Japanese language is an advantage.
• Full P&L accountability for portfolio performance.
