Safety Officer - TermOps

About the role

The Safety Officer for TermOps will lead the implementation of safety policies at the Bhopal site, ensuring compliance with regulations, standards, and internal procedures. The role focuses on identifying, mitigating, and escalating key safety risks while supporting continuous improvement across the plant.

Key responsibilities

• Follow and interpret established safety policies, processes, and SOPs; support line management in their implementation.
• Assist with new safety initiatives and projects to meet future site requirements.
• Participate in first‑party and third‑party health and safety audits in collaboration with Lead Safety.
• Conduct safety observations, maintain log books, occurrence books, and shift documentation.
• Investigate safety incidents, perform root‑cause analysis, and develop corrective action plans.
• Support risk‑management programs, create MIS reports, and track safety metrics.
• Prepare and deliver safety training modules and awareness programs for site employees.
• Coordinate plant‑level safety committee meetings and drive improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Science (Mechanical, Chemical, Instrumentation, or Chemistry).
• Relevant experience in industrial safety, HSE, or related fields (senior‑level preferred).
• Strong understanding of safety regulations, audit processes, and incident investigation.
