Corporate Security Operations Manager – India

About the role

OpenAI is looking for a Corporate Security Operations Manager to lead day‑to‑day physical security for its India office. Reporting to the APAC Security Manager, you will be the primary security point of contact, ensuring a safe, discreet, and professional environment for employees and executives.

Key responsibilities

• Operationalize the India office physical security program, including access control, visitor management, incident response, and general office security.
• Manage security vendors and contract guard forces, defining post orders, performance standards, coverage, SLAs/KPIs, and driving operational improvements.
• Partner with Workplace/Facilities, HR, IT/InfoSec, Legal, and office leadership to implement employee‑friendly security controls.
• Lead local incident response, documentation, after‑action reviews, and corrective actions.
• Support security planning for in‑office events, leadership visits, and business travel.
• Monitor the local risk environment and maintain emergency preparedness, evacuation procedures, and coordination with Workplace teams.
• Liaise with APAC regional security management and other corporate security pillars to manage risk, events, and travel.

Required profile

• 8–10 years of experience in corporate security, protective services, law enforcement, military, or related fields with increasing responsibility.
• Proven experience leading physical security operations in a corporate office, preferably in technology or high‑confidentiality industries.
• Demonstrated ability to manage security vendors and guard forces, overseeing performance and standards.
• Strong incident management and operational response experience, including documentation and after‑action improvement.
• Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills across cross‑functional teams.
• Professional‑level English (written and spoken); Hindi or other local language capabilities are a strong plus.
