Safety Manager – Real Estate Projects

About the role

The Safety Manager will lead the development, implementation and monitoring of safety standards across large‑scale township and high‑rise residential projects. Reporting to the Site/Project Head, you will ensure regulatory compliance, drive a zero‑incident culture and protect the wellbeing of all workers and contractors on site.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and regularly update project‑specific EHS policies, SOPs, safety plans, PPE protocols and work‑permit systems.
• Conduct site safety audits, inspections and monitoring of high‑risk activities such as work at height, confined spaces, hot work and crane operations.
• Perform detailed risk assessments and Job Hazard Analyses for critical construction tasks and create corrective action plans.
• Lead safety training, inductions, toolbox talks and emergency‑response drills for workforce and subcontractors.
• Investigate accidents, incidents and near‑misses, determine root causes and enforce CAPA measures.
• Maintain comprehensive safety documentation, MIS reports and statutory compliance filings.
• Coordinate emergency preparedness and response activities on site.

Required profile

• Proven experience in safety management for large construction or real‑estate projects.
• Strong knowledge of Indian safety regulations (OSHA, BOCW Act) and international standards such as ISO 45001.
• Ability to develop and enforce safety policies, conduct audits and lead incident investigations.
• Excellent communication skills to train and influence a diverse workforce.
