Rolling Stock Design Engineer

About the role

The Rolling Stock Design Engineer will design, develop and optimise rolling‑stock systems for metro projects, ensuring safety, reliability and operational efficiency while complying with international standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop detailed designs for rolling stock systems, covering mechanical, electrical and structural components and ensuring compliance with project specifications and international standards.
• Coordinate system integration with signalling, track and power subsystems, address compatibility challenges, and support procurement, manufacturing, testing and commissioning phases.
• Review and validate design documents, conduct simulations and analyses to verify performance, reliability and safety, and implement quality control measures.

Required profile

• Graduate degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics or related engineering discipline.
• Minimum 10 years of professional experience, including at least 4 years in metro rolling‑stock design projects.
• Proven experience delivering large‑scale metro vehicle designs and working with international standards such as EN, IEC and ISO.
