Retail Cashier

About the role

Home N More is a fast‑growing premium home décor and gifting store in Kanpur. We are looking for a reliable Retail Cashier to manage the billing counter, keep daily sales records accurate and support the accounting cycle.

Key responsibilities

• Operate the POS system (Petpooja) to process sales, returns, exchanges and issue GST‑compliant invoices.
• Reconcile cash, card and UPI collections at the end of each shift and flag any discrepancies.
• Maintain clean daily sales logs and coordinate with the accountant for monthly closing.
• Issue credit notes and handle customer queries at checkout, ensuring a smooth and friendly experience.
• Keep the billing area organized and follow store policies for cash handling.

Required profile

• 1–3 years experience as a cashier, biller or accounts assistant, preferably in retail.
• Strong understanding of basic accounting concepts (debits/credits, reconciliation) and GST fundamentals.
• Honest and trustworthy with cash and financial data.
• Based in Kanpur and able to work on‑site full‑time.

Required skills

• Proficiency with POS software, specifically Petpooja.
• Familiarity with basic accounting and GST invoicing.
• Working knowledge of Busy Accounting Software (a plus).
