Bank Cashier (Multiple Locations)

About the role

The Bank Cashier is responsible for executing all cash‑related transactions and operations at branch locations, ensuring compliance with internal and external banking guidelines. This full‑time, onsite role supports the smooth functioning of the branch’s cash handling function and provides courteous service to customers.

Key responsibilities

• Receive and process cheques, drafts, dividend warrants, pay orders and other instruments, issuing acknowledgements.
• Disburse cash for withdrawal requests and collect cash for deposit challans, maintaining accurate system entries.
• Collect loan repayments according to EMI schedules and update relevant registers.
• Maintain inward/outward cash registers, petty‑cash register, assets register and prepare requisition forms for the Regional Head Office.
• Perform daily cash tally, prepare end‑of‑day reports and ensure cash is safely stored in the branch vault.
• Interact with customers during deposits and withdrawals, explain repayment dates, promote bank products and guide them to alternate channels.
• Ensure compliance with turnaround times, banking regulations and internal policies for all cashier operations.
• Validate customer identity during cash withdrawals and verify accuracy of cash deposit slips.
