Reservation Coordinator

About the role

The Reservation Coordinator ensures smooth handling of all guest reservation requests for our hotel, providing accurate information and exceptional service. You will be the first point of contact for guests calling, faxing, or emailing about bookings, changes, and cancellations.

Key responsibilities

• Process reservation requests, changes, and cancellations via phone, fax, or email.
• Identify guest needs, select appropriate room types, and verify availability and rates.
• Explain guarantee, special rate, and cancellation policies to callers.
• Accommodate and document special requests and answer questions about hotel facilities.
• Apply sales techniques to maximize revenue and handle VIP reservations.
• Enter and maintain data in the reservation system, including group rooming lists and room blocks.
• Set up billing accounts according to accounting policies and ensure accuracy of reservations.
• Communicate with relevant departments to resolve booking challenges.
• Maintain confidentiality, follow company policies, and provide courteous guest service.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• At least 1 year of related reservation or customer‑service experience.
• No supervisory experience required.
• Ability to lift objects up to 10 lb without assistance.
