About the role

The Research Integrity Screening Specialist supports Springer Nature’s Editorial Excellence team by reviewing manuscript submissions for potential integrity issues before publication. The role combines meticulous analysis, fact‑checking, and clear communication with internal and external partners to safeguard the quality and ethics of published research.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze submissions flagged by the Screening Hub technology, applying scientific evaluation and manuscript assessment techniques.
• Validate identified concerns, differentiate false positives, and ensure accurate outcomes.
• Conduct detailed manuscript reviews to determine whether concerns can be remediated by authors.
• Document decisions following internal best practices and provide clear action plans for complex cases.
• Collaborate with editorial teams and external partners to maintain consistent research‑integrity standards.
