Remote Web Developer (0-6 Years Experience)

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Web Developer to join our digital media team on a full‑time remote basis. You will be responsible for building, maintaining, and continuously improving our websites and digital platforms, working across the full stack from front‑end to back‑end.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and manage company websites and web applications.
• Create and implement new features, pages, and functionalities.
• Update website content, images, layouts, and other digital assets.
• Ensure responsive design across desktop, tablet, and mobile devices.
• Troubleshoot and resolve bugs, errors, and technical issues.
• Improve site speed, performance, security, and reliability.
• Develop and integrate APIs and third‑party services when required.
• Manage website databases and backend systems.
• Perform regular updates, maintenance, and backups.
• Implement basic technical SEO and optimization practices.
• Monitor performance and identify improvement opportunities.
• Collaborate with marketing, editorial, design, and business teams.

Required profile

• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and manage tasks without close supervision.
• Comfortable handling both front‑end and back‑end development tasks.
• Willingness to stay updated on web technologies and best practices.

Required skills

• Proficiency in JavaScript, PHP, or Python.
• Experience with HTML, CSS, and modern JavaScript frameworks such as React.
• Familiarity with backend development using Node.js, PHP, or Python.
• Knowledge of CMS platforms, especially WordPress.
• Understanding of SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Experience with API development and integration.
• Proficiency with Git and version control systems.
• Basic knowledge of website hosting, domains, SSL, DNS, and server management.
• Awareness of website security, performance optimization, responsive design, and technical SEO.
