Regular AI Engineer

About the role

The Regular AI Engineer will design, develop and deploy Generative AI solutions that boost productivity across IT workflows. The role works closely with application teams and cloud service providers to translate architecture principles into production‑ready AI patterns and automation guidelines.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement AI assistants, code generation tools and intelligent automation for the bank’s private cloud.
• Collaborate with IT domains to identify high‑impact AI use cases and build full‑stack components (backend Python services, frontend interfaces, APIs).
• Leverage Group AI offerings (LLMaaS, RAGaaS, data tools) and provide feedback for platform improvement.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines, containerized environments (Kubernetes/Docker) and ensure compliance with security, data privacy and governance standards.
• Conduct PoCs and prototype emerging AI frameworks, driving standardisation and optimisation of cloud AI operations.

Required profile

• Computer science background with 5+ years of experience as an AI Engineer using Python.
• Strong full‑stack development skills, API design expertise and hands‑on experience with Generative AI frameworks.
• Proven ability to work autonomously in a distributed, multicultural team while adhering to governance frameworks.

• Generative AI frameworks: LangChain, LlamaIndex, Semantic Kernel, OpenAI API, Azure OpenAI
• AI agent orchestration protocols: Model Context Protocol (MCP), function calling, tool use
• Data modelling, vector databases, Retrieval‑Augmented Generation (RAG) architectures
• Containerisation and orchestration: Docker, Kubernetes
• CI/CD pipeline design, MLOps practices
• Cloud platforms: Azure (preferred) and private cloud banking infrastructure
• Hugging Face libraries (transformers, peft, accelerate, datasets) and model fine‑tuning techniques (LoRA, QLoRA)
