Regional Product Manager – Automotive Coatings

About the role

We are seeking a Regional Product Manager to lead our automotive coatings portfolio across the India market. Based in Mangalore, you will drive product strategy, pricing, and business development for the two‑wheel segment, ensuring profitable and sustainable growth.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement a technology toolbox to optimise product portfolios and facilitate knowledge sharing across countries.
• Lead strategic marketing projects for the Indian automotive market, including market analysis and tailored product offerings.
• Define and enforce regional pricing policies, propose pricing actions and monitor margin compliance.
• Build regional strategies for various coating layers, set milestones and promote cross‑country collaboration.
• Act as primary contact for two‑wheel accounts, identify opportunities and support business restructuring.
• Drive sales growth and optimise turnover in the 2W segment, recommending improvements to sales and distribution efficiency.
• Collaborate with customization labs, global product management, supply chain and key account managers to ensure short‑ and long‑term profitability.
• Evaluate and implement localisation of critical raw materials and introduce cost‑effective manufacturing solutions.

Required profile

• Post‑graduate degree in Chemistry or related field; a Business Management degree is a plus.
• Minimum 15 years of experience in the automotive or chemicals sector, preferably with team‑leadership experience.
• Strong commercial acumen and ability to develop strategic plans for growth and profitability.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively with regional and global teams.

• Coatings product formulation and application knowledge.
• Understanding of OEM specifications and raw material sourcing.
• Financial KPI analysis and P&L data interpretation.
• R&D project business case preparation.
